Check that you haven't inserted one of them the wrong way round.

Sorry, I was mistaken. Both USB ports are tied to one connector and it was installed properly. I have disconnected it from the motherboard, so we'll see what happens.

Other than that, I'm at a loss on what else could be causing the BSOD. Every test I run passes.

    Any other thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks.

So what is the code for B.S.O.D?
    0x000000?? + +

My Antec Case came with a manual that tells you how the E-sata, Sound & USB Pin connectors are configured. It tells you to check they are configured the same as your motherboard.

The Front port dual USB wire to one connector works fine on my old board - so it must be configured to industry standard. Can you check the wires match the correct pin numbers (in the diagram) in the manual?

Are any of the pins bent or broken off in the M/Board USB connector. If you tried to force front panel usb lead in the wrong way around, there is a pin that is blocked off on the lead connector which would bend one of the pins on the M/board causing one USB socket not to work.
If this bent pin is touching another(inside motherboard connector) - it could be causing your puta crashes.

    neo101,
I checked the pins on the motherboard and they seem to be okay (none bent).

The BSOD code was a 124 -- hardware failure. See my first post in this thread to the link to my original message with an attached dmp file.

    Captain,
The dmp file was included in my post in a different thread. The first post of this thread links to it.

    Thanks.
