    Randon shutdown

Laptop shuts down randomly, i have no idea why this is happening, it is happening when i run the windows experience index but other than that it can happen at any time.
I could really do with some help with this as it's really starting to annoy me.
I will supply any info that may help on request.

    Welcome to Sevenforums!

A few questions to help us solve your issue:
    1. What version of Win7 and where did you get it?
    2. Have you updates the BIOS in the lappy to latest version?

Open it up if you can and clean out the dust gremlins.
Then make sure the machine is staying cool. You could also have a memory stick going out on you, see if you can try some other memory if it's not overheating. Are your video drivers up to date? Have you installed any recent device's? Does this happen when UAC kicks in?

Good point about the dust bunnies... Laptops are very susceptable to heat related issues...

I had a client a few years ago who complained of the same issue... said her lappy kept shutting down all the time. She had never used a can of air to blow out the dust and she often used the lappy while laying in bed or on the couch...

The comforter on her bed and the soft cushy couch were not allowing the lappy to breath and get proper air circulation...

Problem solved with a can of air and a little education.
