Application Hang Associated With Adobe Flash Player

    Hey guys,

I'm having a similar issue that the user had here: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...ayer-10-a.html

Where basically, after going to YouTube a number of times, my browser (Firefox) hangs along with other applications in Windows 7 such as: Windows Media Player, Steam, etc. This issue also occurs with Internet Explorer as well, not just Firefox. In order to use these programs again, I have to restart my computer.

This is error message I specifically receive for Firefox:

The program firefox.exe version 1.9.2.3667 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
    Process ID: df0
    Start Time: 01cab04181311ad9
    Termination Time: 38
    Application Path: E:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
    Report Id: 6973602b-1c59-11df-b4c0-00270e00352b
So far, to remedy this problem, I have tried:

    1) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Adobe Flash Player.
    2) Using CCleaner and Ashampoo to see if it was some kind of registry/program issue or whatever that could be sorted out.
    3) Virus scan with Norton AV 2010 and Malwarebytes. Removed any infected items, but the problem still persists. I don't believe it's a virus or spyware because I scan regularly and it doesn't seem to affect the issue I've been having.

So my question is: is there anything I could do that I haven't done yet to try and fix this? It gets quite annoying to have to avoid flash so that I don't have to keep restarting my system.

    My system specs:

OS Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7600 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 GHZ, 2331 Mhz, 4 Cores Motherboard Intel® Desktop Board DG43GT Memory 4.00 GB Graphics Card(s) GeForce GTX 275 Sound Card RealTek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA720 and Samsung SyncMaster 953BW Screen Resolution N/A Hard Drives 1 x 750 Seagate
    1 x 1TB Hitachi PSU 550 Watts Cooler Master
    Thanks

Here was one suggestion I found.
    Internet options
    Security
Change security level to MEDIUM and apply

Here are some steps from Adobe that may help.
Copy tn_19166 Troubleshoot Flash Player installation for Windows

    Hi,

Bit of an update to the issue I was having:

I tried the above suggestion and it didn't seem to work. So what I did, just to make sure it wasn't some odd driver issue was run verifier.exe. I didn't encounter any stop errors when running that program. So what I did next was completely remove Flash as I had done before and Java. I removed Java but installed Flash, and so far, things seem to be working fine. I'll update if things go south again.

Another update: I'm still get the same problem after doing the above, and what I found out is that when this hang occurs, my sound cuts off. So what I tried doing was uninstalling and reinstalling my sound drivers, and that seemed to work temporarily, but the issue came back soon after. My sound is: IDT High Def Audio Codec

    Anyone have ideas?

I, too, am having this issue which only started occuring on Thursday, I tried restoring to when it didn't occur but the problem still remains, namely with explorer.exe and firefox; however, other programs like steam, ventrillo, etc, also become locked up.

I uninstalled all my anti viruses, and I noticed something on the event viewer that within the last 24 hours of the last 2 weeks the majority (about 99%) of my issues came from that day alone, which may be purely coincidental.

As described by Galactica, my firefox as well hangs up for about a minute or so, as well as other programs (not all the time, but most the time all of them), and sometimes the sound cuts off in ventrilo, but comes back on a restart of ventrilo.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated as this is a fairly new build.
