    windows7 prob


    hi ive just gone to boot up windows 7 after ive just instaled it but windows seems to be in a contiuns loops it loads up the windows page then restarts and i cant work out why any idears people

    i removed my grafics card and tried and still got the same i then removed my 3gb or ram and left only 1gb and removed all my cd/dvd drives and my secondary hardrive and windows has loaded so thanks so much for the help i will ask again if i get any more probs

    next prob


    now that windows is up im haveing more problems windows will only load up with 3 of my memory sticks so i can only have 3gb not 4gb and now when ever windows is loaded when im on it in about 10mins it will come up with a blue screen then restart plz help

    off the top of my head it appears one of your mem sticks is either bad or not fully seated. First u have to derermine which one. without diagnostics to point out the bad stick remove the stick from bank 1 pos 2 if u boot up with 3 gig u got it if u boot up with 2 gig pull out pos 1 and replace with the stick you took out of pos 2. repeat till you come up with 3 good gig. run it awhile to make sure the bsod doesnt appear then replace the suspect one back in bank 1 (banks are 0 and 1) pos 2. make sure its seated. if u still come up short, replace with a new stick. Hope this helps.

    ok ill try putting the stick it wont have in another slot and see what happens

    im assuming that you have 4 1 gig mem sticks

    You can also run memtest86 overnight to stress test the memory.

    Check also your HD condition by running HD diagnostics/repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
