Unexpected shutdown in win7
I hope I'm posting to the correct topic, but I installed win 7 over vista on my HP laptop. The program runs just fine but everytime I just shut the cover from the desktop, without putting it to sleep or shutting down completely, I most times - but not always - get a message when I open it again that says "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown". Sometimes a screen will come up asking if I want to start windows normally or in Safe Mode etc. If I dont do anything it'll start normally, but I usually just tell it to start normally.
Should I not just be closing the computer like that? Should I put it to sleep or something instead? It seems like if it's left for a long length of time it will automatically shut down.
Thanks for any help.
