Win7 Crashing alot especially during gameplay

hey guys, im very new to this forum, and ill admit im more of a meat head than a pc geek, haha so it may be hard for me to do this...anyways i have a decent pc, put together for me like 2 years ago by a friend, to be ready to run the game Crysis, and Call Of Duty and at the time it was fantastic to run these games, still works well now but i have some issue with it crashing, alot ever since i upgraded to Windows 7 from vista. It seems to crash alot more during game play (modern warefare 2) and still crashes when im just on the internet and winamp is playin tunes.... is there anyone who can help me? any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Welcome!

First, how does it crash? What happens?

If you get a BSOD, upload the files for analysis: https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...d-problem.html

If not, check the Event Viewer to see if anything is recorded.

You may want to run a memory test. Download Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using ImgBurn. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

Unfortunately that zip file is empty.

Go to C:\Windows\Minidump, select all the dmps. and select Send To>Compressed (zipped) folder.

note: overheating graphics card (normaly dude to dust acumulation) makes the driver fail (and can make w7 crash) it can also cause faults on your kernel causing w7 to crash.

see if you dont have any overheating component on your computer, besides the normal memory checkups.
