    msinet.ocx missing or invalid

    Hello,

I just registered on these forums with the hope someone can help me with this problem.

I've got a new computer with win7 ultimate 64 bit and recently I tried to run a program and ended up with an error message: Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

I tried to fix it myself by using compabilitys and even a virtual machine but I ended up having the same problem. After I googled it I tried downloading a directx and msinet.ocx and placing it in sys32 though that didn't work either, perhaps because those solutions where for xp?

So I really hope someone here knows how to fix this.

    Thanks!

Go to Start and type "cmd" (without the quotes)
Then right click on the cmd.exe at the top of the Search box and select "Run as administrator"
Type "regsvr32 msinet.ocx" and press Enter.

If you get an error message, I'd have to wonder if this program is compatible with the version of Windows that you're using. When I tried to register it on my system it said it was missing also.
