System rebooting / freezing @ (seemingly) random times
Hi all,
Just though i'd post to see if anyone could offer up any help. My system seems to be crashing randomly. I have noticed it crashes more often when video is played (vlc if it helps). But not always, it has even crashed straight after it reboots, some times it can last an hour. I had downloaded the latest nVidia drivers in the hope that this would solve the problem but to no avail.
This is only a recent event, up untill 5/6 days ago the system was running smoothly. I tried to restore the system but apparently my last restore point in only 3 days ago(?).
I ran sfc /scannow but that didn't find any corrupt files, but i do have a few errors in sys events.
The most common ones are:
The adfs service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading
\SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\adfs.SYS has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.
The driver \Driver\GEARAspiWDM failed to load for the device IDE\CdRomHL-DT-ST_DVD-RAM_GSA-H58N_______________1.01____\5&6cfdfc&0&0.0.0.
\SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\GEARAspiWDM.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.
These are rare, but seem to be common:
The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power transition. Please check for updated firmware for your system.
The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted because the shadow copy storage could not grow due to a user imposed limit.
The most troubling one is this:
Custom dynamic link libraries are being loaded for every application. The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure they are related to trusted applications.
The first crash event report:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. [01/03/10]
and i got this later on:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0xffffef801ce72740, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff88004169718). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 030110-20514-01.
Does anyone have any idea what my next steps should be? Thanks in adv.
