ok i didnt replu because i took my computer apart and reapplid thermal compund to everything (including motherboard heatsinks) and that hast changed the temps at all.

also ive run the bat file you showed me and also uninstalled all blackberry software and speedfan. as for sonic burner software i think that was the blackberry media managers doing but maybe its nero. so ill look into that.

also im not sure what adfs.sys is or what its attached too so ill look into that aswell. thanks for all the help.

Okay I removed all that stuff and it still crashes without a bsod. however now it only seems to crash when its loading and never while rendering 3d. i'm going to run driver verifier again and see what happens.

what did your XP install tell you ?

    how about these

and also update your gfx card driver and or try different versions or rollback ?

are there any conflicts in your device manager ?

this driver is part of adobe ?
    adfs.SYS fffff880`07e9d000 fffff120`07eb5000 0xfffff8a000018000 0x48640195 26/06/2008 20:52:37[/B]

also this driver nvm62x64.sys which is part of the NVIDIA nForce hardware firewall, built into nVidia nForce motherboard chipsets and is known for causing problems.
Try to uninstall it as you don't really need it ?

    process is Open Notepad.
Copy, and paste the text below:

    c:
    cd %windir%\system32\wbem\
    net stop winmgmt /y
    ping -n 10 127.0.0.1
    rmdir /s /q repository
    rmdir /s /q Logs
    mkdir Logs
    net start winmgm
    ping -n 10 127.0.0.1
    exit
    Save it as nvidia.bat

Run it, by doubleclicking on nvidia.bat

    Restart computer.
what antivirus and or third part firewall are you running ?

are you using a PCI soundcard ?

for the purposes of debugging i would completely unninstall norton 360 AV and firewall , then complete the task by using the Norton Removal Tool ?

replace with MSE and use windows firewall and let us know how your system behaves ?

Well it doesnt appear to be freezing anymore accept on the loading screen of that unigine heaven benchmark my girlfriend played world of warcraft (where it also used to freeze) for several hours this morning so I'd like to take a little more time to see if it's solved.
