Can't Open MiniDump File

    Can't Open MiniDump File


    I downloaded Debugging Tools For Windows (x86) and when I try to open a minidump file I get:

    Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.9.003.113 x86
    Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved

    CommandLine: "C:\Users\Casey\Desktop\030610-32796-01.dmp"
    Cannot execute "C:\Users\Casey\Desktop\030610-32796-01.dmp" 'Win32 error 0n5 "Access is denied"
    Please help!

    Thanks I'll try that! I'm trying to open the mini dump from the issue I was having in the following post: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/69047-unexpected-crash.html

    Edit: I tired what you suggested and I still get the same message and I'm the only one that uses the computer

    Follow the steps at this link to read the memory dump files: WinDbg Analysis Report
    It's a long procedure, but just follow it step-by-step and it'll work for you.

    I'm downloading Debugging Tools for Windows, but it says I have 2 hours, 5 minutes remaining.

    Boot into SAFEMODE with Networking, download the Debugging tools for Windows and save the installation file to your documents folder. Re-boot back into normal Windows and install it.

    I tried opening the minidump using Debugging Tools for Windows and all that happens is:
