I would suggest that those who contributed to your thread genuinely wanted to help you with your computer problem. Often words become muddied - intent and interpretation can be viewed in totally different ways.

Memory settings

I have someone tell me to change my memory settings to 5-5-5-15 how and where can I do that I can not find it in my BIOS and have no clue where to go to find it.

I am just passing through and havent read the thread. I just wondered if anyone had asked you to run a system file check as originally you had DMP that was caused by a win 7 IS file

System file check verifies and repairs your system files/

to do that type cmd ins search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow (note the space between the sfc and "/")

Let us know the result

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them. details are included in the CBS.log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log and I don't know how to get to it

Apparently I am not typing it right nothing happens when I type it in. findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt
