Your mobo may not have that option. Not all do

    CPUID

You can use CPU-z to see what your Ram's timings are set to.

I don't know otherwise how to change them. there should be an option in the BIOS to set them to a default setting.

    26. Change RAM Timing Settings : BIOS from A to Z

this is general for BIOS for changing the timing to the Manufacturers settings. You might see it set up in the same manner.

the Advanded chipset features might be hidden Try hitting Ctrl+F1 in main screen in BIOS

dmcouch, you can find your Mobo's manual here: http://america.gigabyte.com.tw/FileL...5-ud3(r)_e.pdf . It is pretty good btw, there are detailed instructions about installing the CPU and much more. Check page 39, the instructions to change memory settings are there. I would leave it all in Auto.

Can you guys help me with a XP system too

I have an old Dell which I added a storage drive. I then had some spy wear on in from my dad using my computer and had to reformat the main drive. I left the storage drive plugged up but not the new install of XP will not read drive F which is my storage drive. I can not run chkdsk it will not run on this drive but it is recognized in the computer management disk management screen. I would appreciate any help you might offer I really need to get pictures off the drive a lot of pics with me and my daughter on there.

Is the drive not showing up at all? or just not allowing access. Can you post a screenshot of your disk management and any error pop-ups you see.

Also, since this is XP, is it SP1, 2 or 3?
Do you have the drivers for the External HDD?
What is the make/model of External HDD?
When it is plugged in are there any conflicts (yellow ! triangles) in Device Manager?
