    Hey, got the issue resolved. The problem was in the Mercury motherboard, it was getting some circuitry problem. Once it was replaced Windows7 has been working fine. Thanks for all your support.

    Windows 7 (Home Premium, 64 bit) automatically restarts after shutdown


    Purchased Dell XPS8300, brand new, less than 1 day old. Went to Shut Down for the first time and it shut down-for about 6-8 seconds then automatically restarted. Spent some time with tech support from retailer which culminated with them suggesting that we strip all application software and start from ground zero with the hard drive.

    Hoping that someone has found an "easy" fix for this as I am not interested in spending more than about 10 more minutes trying to figure this out before I load this machine into my car for the Product Returns line at retailer. Any feedback is appreciated!

Whenever I watch youtube at full screen (and sometimes when just the window is maximized) my computer restarts (no BSOD). This problem occurs only with google chrome. The same thing sometimes happens when I click on windows explorer from the taskbar or the start button, but not always. Thanks

My laptop (Lenovo V560) is one month old.Somehow I messed up my operating system without backup the hard drive, That means I do not have the original OS.Now I installed a Windows 7 (from Dell).My computer restarts when I doing some work.Please help me from this problem.
