    Welcome!

How long has this been happening? Could a System Restore possibly help?

I would also suggest a system files check. Open an elevated command prompt and enter sfc /scannow.

If all else fails, it may be time for a Repair Install.

    Good luck!

JK...I try to do this...but cannot get a file to appear...i go to :

START>CONTROL PANAL>SYSTEM>SYSTEM>advanced system settings> start up and recovery > settings > set it to small memory Dump 256 KB (there is no 64k...just 256KB and Kernel Memory Dump

Then there is a small window below with :%SystemRoot%\Minidump OR %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP respectivly

Where is that...and where can i find the actual mem dump to post on here...

    Newbie pass number 2 please...

Please don't be afraid to talk to me like I am 7...i really feel like i am so out of my index on these boards sometimes...but how else am i to learn, right?

    Thanks

The dmps will either be in C:\Windows\Minidump, or in C:\Windows.

Hi Pauly, I've had similar problem for 7 weeks now, and have had to revert to the RMA process, starting with the PSU (it's replacement is due this week). Your problem could be hardware related (try leaving it in the BIOS setup for a while, and see if it powers off, then you can rule out the OS). Also try swapping components, if you have any spare, and check all connectors.
