Getting very often the dreaded nvlddmkm.sys BSOD

Posting a new thread because all my search around to resolve this issue has been unfortunately fruitless. I've looked through all the suggested solutions for this BSOD in this forum but unfortunately none help. Now I firmly believe this must be a hardware issue and I'd like your help to confirm if this is the case.

So I got a new PC this Saturday. Brand New pre-built machine which came with Win7 x64 (my first experience with them too). Unfortunately as soon as I updated my nvidia drivers (It's got a Nvidia 220GT), the system started popping up those warnings that inform me that my nvidia driver had to be restarted (TMM I heard it called).

I tried many things since then. I rolled back the drivers. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled them. I checked the RAM with memcheck86. I reinstalled Windows 7 twice. I tried testing various programs. In the end, I'm pretty sure that this must be related to the graphics card mainly because the system works just fine until I try to do something related to 3d. For example, activating Aero immediately starts restarting the driver. Running a game usually crashes. Trying 3dMark usually exists the test because some component failed (a 3dmark error is telling me that).

I tried to install RivaTuner to check the temperature of the GPU but I got blocked by some windows 7 security and haven't found a way around it yet.


Attached I have the latest dump and about 5 other dumps from yesterday's troubleshooting. Can you please make some sense of it. I'm prepared to return the new PC but I'd like to know if it was its hardware defective or some combination within it will cause the same issue if I get an identical model

Quick question. Does it BSOD in safe mode(F8)???

No, it also does not BSOD when Aero is turned off and I'm doing nothing relating to 3d.

W/r/t the Graphic driver. I've tried a few different ones, I even tried deleting all the nvlddmkm.sys files (as per some suggestions in this forum) and reinstall them from the nvidia driver. Still didn't work. I think it's a bit more stable but not much.

I also tried to install some older drivers (such as the 186) but the installation told me I don't have any hardware compatible with it :-/
