Windows 7: Windows 7 running at hyperspeed

Windows 7 running at hyperspeed

When I login everything is running super fast. For example, it reads my keyboard input as my holding down the keys. If you were to open up task manager and look at the processes they would be flying around, and any programs open very quickly and just move very very fast. The machine is pretty much unusable like this.

I went into the BIOS and disabled the integrated audio card, and that fixed it. So I went to Best Buy and got a new audio card and installed it. Booted up and the problem was back.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

In your user control panel fill out your system specs. That would help. Audio codecs?
