    Blue screens on my Netbook

Hey guys, I have an MSI Wind U100 netbook, Intel Atom 1.6GHZ Proc, 1 gig of ram and Windows 7 32.

Within the last couple of months I added a stick of 1 GB ram for a total of 2GB. Everything ran great for a while, but then I started getting some random resets. What happens is that my netbook will just hang for maybe half a second and then a BSOD will pop up for maybe a second and the computer will reset. What's odd about this is that the blue screen's text is unreadable, just a bunch of white dots in rows.

I've since taken the extra stick of ram out, it seems to crash slightly less but still often. The most often it crashes is right after I open it up and begin typing in my password to enter windows. I'll get maybe one or two characters in and then it'll reset.

Anyone have any ideas? Would a reinstall of windows do the trick maybe?

    Welcome!

Make sure your RAM is firmly seated. If it's not in all the way, you could get errors.

Also, try testing your memory. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using ImgBurn. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

If the crashes continue, please upload your dmps for analysis. See here: https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...d-problem.html

    Good luck!

Well, I get crashes with the extra ram in and onboard memory disabled, ram out, both enabled...I'm not sure it's the memory. I'll run the test later though. Here's my .dmp file!
