Help with BSOD

Its a new Win7 system, have not installed very many apps, have run into some crashes with IE, especially the 64 bit version, the only other apps I can remember running often when these happen is Skype and Azureus.

I have attached my minidumps, from the WhoCrashed app, it seems that 3 of the 4 have been caused by the ntoskrnl.exe

here is the output from BlueScreen program which lists in more detail what was going on, I am a bit nervous about the mcupdate_Genuineintel.dll being up there, is that broken?

All I have done "rogue" is install an English language LIP to switch from Swedish to English, but everything in system is kosher.

It looks like bad RAM could be causing your problem, but I also recommend trying to find an updated driver for your network card.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using ImgBurn. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

To update your network card drivers, right-click on it in Device Manager, and select Update Driver Software.

Windows did its own memory test restart and that was OK but I will try the memtest disk as well and report back

Thanks for the network card info, did not find an update through windows, but in control panel, think it is listed as

Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet
Broadcom driver
2009-08-06 date
driver version 12.2.2.2
signed as WHCP
file k57nd60a.sys

OK, I also have no idea how to decipher Broadcoms page for drivers since I have no idea what chipset they are talking about or where to find that out.
If anyone knows which driver I need, that would be really helpful!
cheers

What is the model number of your Dell Vostro? You should be able to find the correct driver directly from Dell's website.

You can download them from here; install all of the ones listed for network and chipset: Drivers & Downloads

Well when I chose the Windows 7 updates and downloaded the driver and application, something seemed to install but when I ran the diagnostic broadcom app it seems that the driver v12.2.2.2 is still there and current. I checked the extracted file from the exe and think that must be the latest, it is the vista ones that seem to be on version 14 etc

I did update the BIOS, and a few other drivers from that site, we shall see if it helps

Ran 6+ passes of Memtest without any errors or problems overnight, it took a tad over 6 hours.

thx for the help
