We need to get those errors from the event log. These errors are usually fixed by simply replacing 1 bad corrupted file. Winternals ERD 2007 will allow you to extract the files onto either an external drive or a formatted flash drive.
These error logs will need to be viewed from another windows 7 machine or a vista machine.
Without these error logs we're flying blind
As I said, for some reason, the logs have not been updated. The last log entry dates back to january 24th if I recall.
hi,
I belive tht you guy's can try doing this for the same issue ...
Try to boot into Advanced Boot Options with F8 ...
Select last known Good Configuration & press Enter ....
Issue Should get Fixed
Thanks
had the same issue on a acer 5410 done the repair section.. never worked so i done sys restore same error tried a sys restore for a month before worked a treat, checked the logs & i had nothing to say what was wrong unless the sys restore deleted the selected logs as part of the repair,
All this because the owner closed the lid with some force .
i have the same problem too.. when i tap f8, it says that i need to insert the installation disc.. and i don't have it.. what must i do?? help meee...
Hello taeteuk, welcome to Seven Forums!
You will get better help faster if you create your own new thread click here to do so and be sure to be very specific describing the complete situation with the PC system specifications included; thanks.
Hi, it seem there is no solution for this. But i know some thing that can fix it
1. Login to safe mode (all of you know how to do it rite?)
2. After login press windows or start button type "secpol.msc" (without quote ofcourse)
3. Uncollapse “Local Policies” and click on “Security Options”:
4. Scroll down the list and double-click on “Interactive logon: Do not display last username”:
5. Enable this option and click on “Apply” if you want to hide other last user that logged onto your PC (this can improve security!)
6. Double-click on entry below that item on “Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL + ALT + DEL”
7. Disable this option if you want users to press this key combination to log on. This can prevent some hacking tools to successfully break your password.
after that try to reboot your machine i hope it would be success like I was

dude, did you read the thread below? It seems that you didn't. Please, read carefully the thread before posting complete nonsense. As stated by OP it is impossible to logon into safe mod, because there is no login screen whatsoever! Its same problem for me, while turning on my pc, it boots bios then proceeds to booting windows, and gets stuck, the windows 7 animation is looping. After quite some time, it restarts, therefore it never gets to login screen, is it hard to understand?!
Now, speaking about advanced login options, pressing F8 while booting DOES NOT WORK, because it opens a menu where u can choose what to boot up first, floppy, HDD or cd-rom.
Startup repair does not work, and it even TELLS YOU that it can't repair login problems. Conclusion, if you haven't enough knowledge, DO NOT POST, as people trying to fix their problem, and are tired of random nonsense. Thank you.
I am having the same issue. I have no sidebyside errors in the error log to possibly point to a corrupt mainfest file. The only errors that show up are winlogon and do not point to a specific corrupted file. If anyone can provide any help it would be great.
