    Windows 7 Freezes

I've been having problems with Windows 7 Ultimate(32-bit) freezing. Now it'll be fine for a hour or 2(possibly longer) but after that it'll freeze & won't do anything forcing me to restart(which isn't too bad but its annoying). I was just wondering if anyone was having the same problem? I've ran my spyware/adware software & virus scan, I do daily and I don't have any viruses or anything so I know its not that. Thanks in advance.

That's progress. Now please click on User CP on the top menu line of SevenForums, Choose Edit Profile and fill in as much of the info as possible. You will find MSINFO32.EXE helpful.

Actually, that is excellent. Now would you use MSINFO32.EXE to get that display info? I've included a snapshot of where you need to look in the msinfo display.

I believe I put in the right info for my graphics card. If you need anymore info please let me know. I didn't know what else to post because I don't think its any of my peripherals because I haven't hooked up anything new.

Ok. Now let's make an assumption: Let's assume that the problem is heat-related.

Make sure that no vents are blocked or partially-blocked.

Take off the computer casing or whatever is needed to be removed so that you can actually view all fans. Observe the fans. With power off and compressed air blow out any dust in there.

With power on and the case open and no hindered vents, does the system still lock up?

Be sure and pay attention also to any fan associated with the graphics card.

    How old is your computer?
