bsod on new install of windows 7

    Hello,
I am having issues with random bsod on a newly assembled pc. I am running an asus p7p55d-e and core i7 860 and 8gb's g.skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ. As I say it is completely random. The first time it occurred was while first installing windows. It was about 35% of the way through the process. Since then it is completely random. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have run memtest with 6 passes and no errors. as you see in the dump files it seems to point to ntoskrnl.exe - Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attachment 63343

    Hi billybobhobw.
These crashes were highly likely caused by memory.

You will need to do the following -
    1. Memory-download memtestx86 and run for at least 5 passes
    2. Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
Go to search - right click to run as Administrator - type in sfc /scannow.
[Make sure you have a space between sfc and / ]
    3.If you are overclocking-stop
4.You must update the old drivers.

Please report back & let us know the results.
    Thanks. Jan.

    competed the task

I have completed all the task and memtest at 6 passes came back clean.
sfc also cam back with no integrity issues. All drivers are up to date. Not overclocking.

I suspect this may be a compatibility issue between the ram and the motherboard. Any thoughts? As it first started before windows was completely installed.

Have you tried running with just 4 gigs?

    30 hours no crashed

Not sure if the problem resolved itself. 30 hours and no additional crashes. As with any new install it has be sporadically doing windows updates. This may or may not have solved the problem. I just finished running prime 95 for eight hours with no issues.

    Will keep you informed.
