I've got the same kind of issue. uTorrent 2.0 started it, but BitSpirit did the same thing. I've read on the uT forums that uT <2 (versions less than 2 have not reported any issues. Still, why would it happen with BitSpirit too? EDIT: Others have reported that if they install uT FIRST, then any other torrent program they try causes the same BSODs or crashes.

I get a crash though, no BSOD. I have no dump to put up for you guys.

I've updated my Realtek drivers to the latest, it didn't help.

Just now i've tried uninstalling the ipv6 stuff, because it was "!" in the devices thingy.

I've been going for about 30mins so far... but i bet it won't last.

I suggest you would be better advised to start your own thread re your problem.

But.. it's a very similar problem - i've checked other posts about the similar problem and this one most closely resembled mine. Most forums hate it when there's 30 threads with very similar problems.

I also cannot offer file dump, because there isn't one - and that's the first thing i'll be asked.

Is this seriously considered hijacking? Please point me to the forum rules that give me some guidelines for polite discourse... because they're not here: https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...rum-rules.html

If it would be better for me to start a new thread, then ok. But can someone please update the forum rules to say "if you have a similar problem, but don't have a definitive solution, then start a new thread" or words to that effect so i don't waste my time or yours.

Pending a response, i will add that for me - so far - uninstalling Teredo (ipv6 thingy) via the Device Manager has stopped my PC freezing - it's been running uTorrent for about 15 hours now with no freeze at all. Though i wouldn't call that a permanent solution.

For future reference we prefer that you start a new thread to avoid confusion and to get you the specific help you require.

Just a heads up

K. No worries.

It would be good, though, if the posting rules gave an indication that that is what's desirable.

I can see now, roaming around the board, that each person gets 'personal' treatment. Which is really good
