    Frequent BSOD

    Hi there,

New to windows 7 and to the forums. I have been having random crashes I do kow that once the blue screen was an irq conflict with a pci NIC so I removed the card completely. I have noticed that the frequency of the crashes happens more when I stream media so I am hoping/thinking its a driver issue

Any help would be greatly appreciated

these crashes were all caused by hardware. read the instructions here to find out what it means and how to diagnose. https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...-what-try.html

Thanks for the quick response I think I may have stumbled across the problem. I performed the memtest86+ and within 2 minutes had over 50 errors so I just finished checking the bios setup and found a memory timing issue and have restarted the memtest so far so good 20 minutes in and 0 errors. I will report back in the morning after it has completed a couple of passes

    Thanks

Well after 5+ hours of testing the memory there were 0 errors so that problem appears to be fixed however right after I booted into windows bang bsod again lol... After a shutdown and restart it has been stable for over an hour now while streaming media so it does seem to be better... running a chkdsk /r right now I also noticed I have a nic this will not start according to device manager going to look into that once chkdsk is finished

I was also wondering if the verifier could be used to troubleshoot the hardware and/or find possible driver problems?
