Computer restarts a few seconds after shutdown

Disabling sleep, hybrid sleep and hibernation has resulted in the computer restarting a few seconds after Shutdown. Previously, sleep worked correctly until the computer was revived, at which time there would be black screen, fans full blast and no POST. Hold power button to power off, then powering on would resume from sleep as normal. If hibernation was allowed, the computer would not properly detect my raid0 boot drive and another hard restart was required.

Sorry for not responding back in April! I presume that the same problem still exists?
FWIW - I had the same issue with my Asus P6T Deluxe board when Win7 was in beta. The beta team at Microsoft blamed it on storage drivers - so I replaced my RAID card. But that didn't work.

I finally upgraded the motherboard (from v1.0 to v2.0) and haven't had an issue since. I relate this because of the difficulties that I had troubleshooting this - and the rather drastic solution (replacing the motherboard).

You have several very old drivers on your system. Please visit this website to locate updates for them: Driver Reference Post back for assistance with any that you can't find:

Start with the 2005 drivers, then the 2006, then the 2007, and finally the 2008 one's
This could be a driver issue for you as most of these outdated drivers are storage drivers
Finally, there's not much info about this in your logfiles - so that is suggestive of a hardware problem (but not a definite problem).

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, the problem persists.. I have to flip the switch on the power supply to keep this thing off.

I just installed the latest windows updates and shutdown, it restarted, and I ran the BSOD exe and saved the perfmon output. I hope it sheds some light, because I tried finding updates for the 05-07 drivers, with no luck. The '05 driver is still the most recent and the rest I could not find.
