    Dont Know why I BSOD

My computer has been crashing a lot and I don't know why, so I am posting up my minidump files to see if someone can help.

At first I though it was a memory issue because the computer would crash while i was using memory intensive programs like Firefox, but I ran memtest 86 v.4 and did 6 passes for each stick of RAM and got no errors.

    Here are my computer specs:

    OS
    Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

    CPU
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40GHz

    RAM
    2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz

    Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5N32-E SLI (Socket 775)

    Graphics Card
    512MB GeForce 9800 GT

    Welcome SirCrashALot,

It seems to be a slow night here at SevenForums and I don't see any of our minindump specialists available right at the moment. Please try to be patient so we can help.

How long had you been running win7 without any crashes ? Any new hardware installs ? Hopefully your problem will be analized & solved.

Windows 7 was running great for a little over a month and about two weeks ago I tried to upgrade my memory from 2 gb to 4 gb, but the new memory was bad so I re-installed the old RAM and that is around the time when I started to get these crashes. This is also why I thought it was a memory issue.

I did reformat and re-installed windows 7 thinking that would solve the problem but it didn't, so I'm posting the minidumps to see if someone might have an answer cause I don't know what else I can do.

You have several different causes of these crashes, and since there are multi causes I have to suspect hardware. Use these to see what it means and how to diagnose it. https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...-what-try.html

    Thanks Ken,

    for being ontime as usual

Reccommended memory for this MB is DDR2 800 up to 8gb max on board.

Do you have them in the correct slots per the MB manual as there are 4 slots ?

    Thank you DocBrown & zizag3143,

If it's a hardware issue I probably messed up something else while I was trying to install new RAM. Does anyone know of a good program or programs that could do stress tests on individual hardware components (like memtest but for graphics cards, processor etc.) just so I could get a better grasp of where the problem might be?

    Thanks for the help guys!!

Yes I do have the correct memory an they are in the correct slots.

I will try and see if blasting the RAM slots with an air can will solve the issue.

If that doesn't work I will try swapping out parts and see what happens.

I think I know what the problem is, I checked the temperature on the CPU and it goes over the factory reccommended setting of 60 C. It's actually idling at 57 C so now I just have to figure out how to cool that sucker down.
