    1) Do a startup repair.

    Startup Repair

    2) If above does not help, boot into safe mode. If things work properly, its probably a faulty program or driver.

NEW BOARD ? check for bios updates at your motherboards site - support -downloads - type or select from a list your model - just been to site there is a live update that might be worth trying, and may update your bios as well as other drivers, or use the select list over to the right to find your board - i found 2, or I would of posted the web page - elcipse plus or elcipse sli. Your bios can be found in system information - well it can be with mine - start - all programs - accessories - system tools -system information.

Bills repair might be a better bet to try, firstly, and maybe, then try the above if its unsuccessful. Since its a new install it might be quicker to run this : start - all programs -accessories - right click command prompt and select run as a n administrator and paste or type this in the window - SFC /scannow . This will check the integrity of your system files. Either way, Im not sure this would be as effective as a repair, but only takes 5 or 10 minutes.
