Anyone know what samhid.exe is? It is causing my Desktop BSOD's.

    Thanks.

Search your system for samhid.exe, right click on it, select Properties, then select the Details tab. Tell us what is says there.

If you can't find it there, look for samhid.sys in C:\Windows\System32\drivers and do the same thing.

    Hi,

When I looked at the details there were none there so I have decided to delete the file.

If you haven't deleted it - then don't.

    Rename it to samhid.BAK
That way, should you need it, you'll just have to rename it back.

It is currently in the recylcle bin just in case and I also made a system restore before I made it. Now the file is moved I don't seem to be getting any BSODs and all hardware is working fine.
