    Help needed - software problems


    some time ago i was using my pc and things havent worked properly ever since. im running windows 7 ultimate and the simptoms are the following: IE doesent start, when i click on it it flashes the icon on the taskbar and then nothing happenes Steam either, says logging in and then dissapears When i start Xfire (some other programs too) it gives me the xfire.exe - bad image error saying that c windows system32 might not be designed to run or xfire contains error (i tried reinstalling) Taskmanager lags as hell! thanks for the concern p.s. if i posted in wrong section please move.

    Go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search).>windows logs>application tab and look for critical errors (they have red in the left column) that say app hang, app crash, etc.

    Note the event ID and source codes and relay them to us

    i fixed it, my ieframe.dll in system32 folder was broken so with some permission tweaks i managed to replace it with a working one from another PC with windows 7
