Various errors when booting
Hi -
I'm having serious problems booting and would appreciate any help..
Last night when using my PC, all of a sudden (no hardware/software changes) Chrome crashed then Windows starting generally running very slowly. I couldn't reopen Chrome, every time it froze again. Eventually it was going so slow that I couldn't do anything else so tried to restart it, but it froze, and I switched it off by holding onto the power button.
I was able to load up Windows again one more time, but couldn't open Chrome and some other programs, and it was generally running slow again.
Since then I've restarted several times and have got various errors, including 'Oxc00000e9 Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred' and 'Windows failed to start'. If I restart now my computer it goes up to the 'Windows is loading' screen with Windows 7 logo, but then restarts and takes me to a 'Windows failed to start' screen with options to 'Launch startup repair' and 'Start windows normally'.
I've tried using my boot DVD to run startup repair and sometimes it says 'repaired' and other times came up with an error saying it could not be repaired, and in the log mentioning an external device? I'm not sure what this could be as it's just my keyboard and mouse connected via USB. It says there are no restore points for me to go back to too.
Edit: I just ran the inbuilt 'startup repair' (not sure what the difference is to the one on the WIndows 7 boot disk) and after it it restarted, and I got another 'Windows failed to start' error but with the status: 0xc000000f, saying that 'the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible'
Could anyone advise me on what I can do to fix this?
Thank you
