    Screen turns off to backlight only,intermittent


    Here is the latest info after restarting, I must admit I had this problem intermittently when I was using Vista.
    Video card is Nvidia GeForce 7150M/ n force 630m.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sooooo.... I'm working on a free hand-me-down laptop. Had a hard drive problem, which I fixed and happened to find 4GB of RAM to toss into it... and what do ya know, the screen starts messing up as soon as I fixed it... :( The laptop is not very old so I would like to fix it... onto my problem....

I run build 6956 and I am impressed with new Windows... Just one problem but big (also was on 6801 build) screen on mine hp 8510p notebook never goes dim or switch off, even when I define those times in >Display...
