OK, there's no later update for the Intel Pro/1000 GT The only Win7 drivers available are those that came with the Win7 installation (and won't be updated).
Since you have a Asus P6T SE board, what's happened to the Realtek network adapter that's built into the board? This has a Windows 7 driver available at the Asus website.
I'm not using it, should I still update it?
I'm confused, you have a newer, faster network card built into the P6T motherboard - but you're using a slower, unsupported card? Why, may I ask?
Oh, I did not know it was faster. To be honest I never spent the time looking at which one was faster. I'll switch it if the one built is is actually faster.
Actually, I went to speedtest to see the differences between the two, if that is what you mean by faster. Using the Intel network card, I got a full Mbps more (to a total of 8Mbps) than with the built in network card (a total of 7Mbps). What exactly is faster about it? I've done countless more tests and it seems that with the built in network card, I get between 8.2 and 7.8 Mbps. I'll stick with the built in for now.

As I recall, the card you're using is a 10/100 card - 10 Mbps/100 Mbps
And the card on the mobo is a Gigabit card = 1000 Mbps
Internet speed tests can vary from second to second - so I doubt that the 1 Mbps difference was due to the card. Also, if you've got a card that's Win7 compatible and one that's not - which one should you use?
Of course, the limitation imposed by your ISP will make this speed difference irrelevant for most cases. But it's a newer card, and it will support faster speeds across your network at home.
But the intel card is 10/100/1000, isn't it?
We're getting outta my league here - I'm not a networking kind of guy.
You can use whatever you want on your PC - it's just my opinion that a newer network card is better than an older network card - especially one that isn't readily compatible with your OS.
I'd suggest that you post in a networking forum if you want to argue the relative merits of the cards.

I'm still getting the black screen hang after resuming from sleep sometimes. Thoughts? I checked the Asus's website to see if there is a BIOS update that could fix it, but I'm running near the latest update. I guess I can get the latest one working, but other than that, is there any other ideas about this?
