Not Responding
Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I really hope you can help. I searched the forum for this problem and found a thread but mine seems a bit different so I am starting a new thread. I am running Windows 7Pro x64 OEM. I get the "not responding" in ALL applications (Opera,IE8,Firefox,Word,PowerPoint,Vlc media, WMPlayer or just accessing folders.) no matter how many are running. Here is my hardware list:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 705e Heka 2.5GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 65W Triple-Core Processor
MoBo: ASUS M2A74-AM AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Support DVI Output, DDR2 1066, EPU- Energy Saving
PSU / case: APEVIA X-QBOII X-QBOII-NW-BK/500 Black SECC Steel MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply
Cooling: aside from the PSU fan, I have two other case fans installed 5"/4".
HDD: OS is installed on brand new Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s. Several other storage drives from old pc.
I HAVE reflashed my BIOS and done a clean install of the OS w/ HDD format. I thought it might be an IrQ problem, but I have no experience working with those. I looked on my Notebook (which is working) and have a couple of devices on the same channel that are working.
Check out this thread, MS stopped responding to them: Windows 7 gives me "Not Responding" message a lot!
Please Help!
