Help Please! Cannot get past "Starting Windows" Screen.

I bought my laptop about 6 months ago, came with Windows 7 32Bit on it. Worked fine until this morning. I started it up, and it goes until the Starting Windows screen and freezes. I have tried numerous different things, system restore didn't work, F3 on startup and "Fix Errors" didn't work, messed with a bunch of the settings you get to from TAB/F3/F11 on startup, still nothing. It didn't come with a Windows 7 install CD, and I pretty much gave up on it so I went to do a system recovery and wipe everything fresh. I cannot even do it, because when I try to do system recovery, it still goes to the windows screen and freezes. I downloaded and burned an ISO file to boot off of, which works for a second, then straight back to the windows screen and freezes.
I can still start up in safe mode, in fact I am writing this from safe mode right now. Is there anything to do? Please help...and thank you in advance.

boot into safe mode, press f8, try" boot to last know good config" or if that doesn't work, try booting to an older restore point from safe mode. the way to do this when in safe mode: run/cmd/rstrui.exe. this has worked for me.
