Urgent - Not enough free memory

I get this error when using anything except for programs from the start menu.

"There is not enough free memory to run this program"

System restore displays error code 0x8007000E, so does any diagnostic program. (For example, if I click on the sound icon, diagnostics start then it gives the error code)

I REALLY need help. And dont tell me to download anything, because I wont be able to open it.

(No luck in safe mode either)

Yup, but if I try to open a folder, or run system restore, I get the memory error or code 0x8007000E.

Also, my sound icon is muted, and if I click it, diagnotics comes up, then after a second or so displays that error code.

I cant open control panel neither

Have you googled that error ?

What email client are you using?

what is the size of your page file?

What does event viewer say about the error (type eventvwr in search--go to the windows lg>application tab)?

DO you have backup you can restore from?

Do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

Sounds like malware. Run AV/malware scanner from start menu.

Did you just ask me what mail client I use? :S I don't use one, I have Hotmail. Yes, I have googled it. I don't know what my page file size is.

    I can't get to it.

    Computer > Properties doesn't work.

    Also:

I can't get the error to show up in event viewer. I clicked My Documents, the error came up, so I opened Event viewer, but it doesn't show it. I refreshed the logs.

    I take it no backup?

Your options are limited. If it were me I would do a clean install, and yes that is a PITA, but, you system is so munged you are going to take weeks to fix where as an install would take you hours.

Let us know if you need help with it
