BSOD's need help to deciper minidumps

I have 3 BSOD minidump files that need analyzed. My bios is up to date, have done virus & malware scans. I have run verifier and all drivers should be up to date. From what I can get out of the dump files it looks like a HID problem of some sort but that's where I get stuck. I'll include the 3 dump files and Sys.nfo file. If there is anything else just let me know. I also did a disk check, ran the SFC and did a memory test with memtest86+. Thanks

What settings did you use when you ran verifier?

The HID stuff is for "Human Interface Device" - and usually it's stuff that you've plugged into your system (most commonly these are USB devices - but they can be other things).

There is a Verifier Enabled Memory Dump that blames the HID stuff - but it'll depend on what settings that you used to run Verifier. In short, if you didn't verify all tests for all 3rd party drivers then we'll most likely have to run Driver Verifier again (using custom settings).

First, please remove the program that uses ElbyCDFL.sys (it's usually something to do with: CDRTools or ElbyCDIO Driver or DVD Region Killer or VirtualCloneDrive by Elaborate Bytes AG (elby CloneDVD™ 2).) The driver is from 2006 and may not be compatible with Windows 7.

Next, please run Driver Verifier with these settings:
Quote:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

Yes these were caused by hidclass.sys. I am curious as to why you have it on your system, as it is a native win 98 file. Just checked my comptuter and it is not there.

Just FYI - I have hidclass.sys on my Win7 system (I've got an HID device listed in Device Manager - it's my Logitech Trackman Wheel device).
Don't have it in my Vista or my XP Virtual Machines (and don't have HID devices listed in Device Manager).

The hidclass.sys are for joystick, mouse and keyboard. If I remove these devices and their drivers and reboot, windows will detect them and install what looks like the same driver but with out the brand name. Here's the verifier dump file.

Thanks for the heads up. You 64 bit? I googled it and found nothing of value.

Looks like there's an issue with your Acronis products. The Verifier Enabled memory dump file blames tdrpm258.sys - a component of the Acronis Try&Decide and Restore Points Volume Filter Driver.

Be sure that you've turned off Driver Verifier - then uninstall the Acronis products.

Here's the memory dump output:
