    BSOD is not cool

    Hello all

I am a guy who owns a comp but knows next to nothing about the small details i play games on our pc i was playing oblivion and have played wow for a few years with this comp. In Dec my lady got windows 7 32 bit from someone and after a while the trial period expired it still works but resets every 2 hours. Iv had obivion installed for a month and its played fine until now also wow has played well for a long time but just week ago they start to flicker oblivion will stop itself but wow will go to a BSOD with stop code (x00000116(0x84cb4320,0x8ec2056a,0x00000000,0x0000000d) ATIKMDAG.SYS

It also tells me when oblivion stops that the display driver stoped responding and recovered. I have looked on the net to find things and tried a couple of them to nothing thus far seems to work i tried he new drivers from ati cleaned the dust from the comp and i dont think its the PSU cos its worked fine for such a long time.

I would be very greatfull for any further help or solutions to the problem co si need my gaming fix!!

    Billy

The first thing I would do is install the RTM version of Windows 7... there have been a LOT of improvements that may well resolve your problem... What type of PSU do you have?? Its very possible that it is on the way out...just because it has given you no problems is no gaurentee that it isnt your problem now... Please upload the actual .dmp file so we can take a look at it, but ATIKMDAG.SYS is your gfx card driver ...

Copy the dmps to the desktop first.

My debugger can't load the symbols for your OS because it is not a RTM version. I agree with Tom, get an RTM version of Windows. Look on Newegg, Amazon, and Microsoft.
