    Hi Everyone ..

This one has me pulling my hair out. I have a W7 Ultimate box that when I create a new account I get this error when I try to use it. The only account I can use is my Admin account. Any suggestions?

This is happening on a new profile that has just been created. Its like the service is hosed?? I will try a these tomorrow .. Thanks !!

Oh Yeah .. tried system restore ,, didnt work. I have system image back-ups on the server. I am going to restore it back a couple months ago and see if that fixes it. Not sure when the issue really began. May have been there all along.

    Hi,

I just happen to have the same problem on windows 7 ultimate x64. I went a bit further in its identification: what happens is that when I create a new account it cannnot create the folder for the new user and the registry key for the new user is not created either. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ only contains the system user keys and the one for the user i created on installation.

I've heard that this problem could come from the NTuser.dat file in the "default" user folder so I tried using one from a vista premium x32 but it didn't solve the problem. Any idea?
