Random BSOD for 2 weeks....

Hello all

The PC is new. About 1 month. I had my first set of RAM blocks replaced because they were bad. The BSOD's were very frequent then.

Now I am having them about 1-2 times a day. I mostly use my computer for playing World of Warcraft. So it has happened quite a few times during that.

This morning I had the latest BSOD.
The error message was:

Out of curiousity: Am I doing something wrong in the way I explained the problem - or is it just beyond anyones expertise? I am wondering why noone seems to have any suggestions on what the cause is for my misery

Looks like your video card drivers are causing the issue. I recommend updating them, or uninstalling them and installing a fresh copy.

Hey again.

I updated my gfx drivers as suggested. There was a new driver. I did that Thursday and tested several hours Thursday and Friday with no problems.

This morning, however, it gave me BSOD again.

Hello again.

Unfortunately I am back with sad news.

I updated my Atheros and Realtek drivers as suggested.

That changed my crashes from BSOD's to "Freezes" where I had to reboot manually. Happened a couple of times. Now a moment ago I had my first BSOD again and with windows error report afterwards.

The dmp report is here: Attachment 74038

I have not tried the "Remove NIS/ N360". Do you mean completely removing my antivirus by that? And if so - what do I replace it with? I have a paid Norton version installed.

Thanks in advance,
Claus

Still looks like your video card driver. Uninstall it completely, and install a fresh copy.

Remove Norton completely then run this removal tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/englis...moval_Tool.exe

Then install Microsoft Security Essentials.
