Need help to analyze BSOD (dmp attached)

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop from Asus. The Asus G51jx-a1 to be more specific.
First I was quite happy, but since few days I've got BSOD on BSOD.. Altough I'm not a begginer in the computing world, analyzing and fixing this problems are beyond my knowledges.

That's why I'm posting here, hoping you will help me find a solution before I send the laptop back (which would be quite annoying).

I've made a .rar of the last 5 dmp files, all from BSOD I had today.

Take a look at this post here:

Give the steps a whirl in the post I linked above and let me know how things work out for you!

Hello and thanks for the answer.

I've read the thread you linked and as far as I remember, I've done most of the steps pointed out. My drivers are the latest (except for the graphic card drivers, because the latest make me have more BSOD).

I've already installed a vanilla version of Win7, although I started installing some programs right away. What I've noticed is that the freezes/bsod happen a lot when I am playing one game.
Tonight I've tried putting down the resolution and the details of the game and the freezes/bsod went out.

Maybe the problem is due to a overheating of the GPU, although when I was playing full details/resolution the temperature always was under 90 degrees (which is supposed to be the critical temperature when the system is shutting down if I'm not wrong).

I know that there is several kind of blue screens in the archive, and there are not all concerned by the 0x124 error right ? What should I do about the others ? About the 0x124 one ?

I see that 124 hardware error and your video card drivers. I suggest updating or installing a fresh copy of your graphics card drivers.

Also run a memory test: Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

Run a hard drive test too: HD Diagnostic

I've already done a HD tune analysis of my hard drive and completed a ram-check with the Windows tool but i'm gonna do it again with Memtest.

This 124 error is really annoying, I've tried to update my video card drivers but things start to get worse (I'm not sure it was because of the new driver tho). So I currently have the drivers from the Asus recovery CD.

Nothing more we can do to correct this 124 error ?

124 is a hardware error. I'm starting to wonder if your video card itself is failing.
