BSOD only when gaming, drvers new, dmp included

Ok I have a clean install of Windows 7 (as of about 2 months ago). The system is very stable EXCEPT when gaming. I'm not a hardcore gamer, in fact all I play is COD-MW2. However, I get BSOD eventually when playing. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes, sometimes over an hour, but I almost always get it. It did this same thing on two seperate installs of W7, the RC and the RTM which I have now.

I've checked the main culprits: sound, video and network drivers are all updated. Video is to ATI's latest (4-28-10) and sound and network are latest from gigabytes web page. I did try resolving this myself by searching others problems, but they all point to driver issues.

    AMD Phenom II X3 710 (3 cores at 2.6ghz)
    Gigabyte GA-MA790xt-UD4P (Rev 1.0)
    Crucial (?) DDR3 PC1333
    Radeon HD4670
    On-board Sound (Realtek)

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've never pulled a dump file before, but I think I did it right. here goes:

You did it perfectly, however I might be able to do a couple of other things if you upload the dmp.

Let me know if you need help

    Ken

Edit: you could also run a system file check
(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow)

    Try It

Megashares - Drag. Drop. Yup. The first site to provide FREE file hosting with drag n drop support.

That's the memory dump you requested...

I'll run the SFC now, although I admittedly have my doubts because this problem spans over 2 fresh installs.

I checked other forums and they all said the same thing - that it is usually a driver issue.

I see that you're running the latest RealTek HD driver 2.46 - have you tried reverting to 2.45 or an older version, as 2.46 is literally a week old?

Also, any over clocking on your system? have you updated your BIOS any time recently? Are you running any sort of RAID on your system?

The realtek driver seems to have no effect, it've been having this problem across 2 separate clean installs dating back to when W7RC 1st came out. And I you're right about the constant driver updates. I've the RSS feed for that page on my igoogle and I update everything immediately hoping for a fix. Prior driver versions (video, network and audio) have all had the same effect (none).

No over clocking, and the bios has been the same since I got this bought pc from cyberpower.

I don't know how to interpret the CBS log. Was there anything there I should try to fix? It DID say there were errors that it could not fix.

Zigzag: Were you able to accomplish anything with the .dmp you requested?

Let's ask, what happens when gaming such as to cause a BSOD? Gaming is very heavy on graphics. I suggest uninstalling your video card drivers (and the Catalyst suite if you have it installed), and then install only the latest driver.

If you do not have Catalyst installed, try installing an older version of just the driver.

I Will definitely try that. I can tell that my drivers are up to date, but I have never uninstalled them and then reinstalled them. It will have to wait until tonight though, as I'm headed to work now...

I'll reply late tonight or tomorrow morning.
