    BSoD on startup and awakening

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5892. It came with Windows Vista but I wiped the drive and used Linux on it until about a week ago when I decided to stick Windows 7 to speed up working on cross platform programming. Usually it boots or comes out of sleep fine but it does consistently BSoD on me. I only have three crash dumps but it's done it at least eight times. The first BSoDs caused by errors in the network module but the latest three all occurred in different areas. When using Vista, I never had any issue with hibernation so I'm not sure what the problem could be even after analyzing the dumps myself.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I suspect your network adapter and/or modem drivers are causing the issue. I recommend updating them to the latest version.

Update these old drivers as well:

    Code:
    94010000 94116000 AGRSM AGRSM.sys Mon Nov 10 09:56:37 2008 (49184BA5)
    8faae000 8fab6000 FwLnk FwLnk.sys Sun Nov 19 09:11:12 2006 (45606600)
    97d2e000 97d38000 secdrv secdrv.SYS Wed Sep 13 09:18:32 2006 (45080528)
    902d8000 90308000 SynTP SynTP.sys Thu Aug 14 22:02:22 2008 (48A4E3AE)

My wireless drivers are up to date according to Windows 7.

EDIT: As are the others from what I can tell.

Do you still have driver verifier running???

Not anymore. I realized at one point that might have been the cause of a number of the later crashes but I'm not sure if I did it before or after the last one :P

It is in one of these DMP's. The second and third appear to be video driver, but if verifier is running it might not be accurate. I would still un-install all traces of the current video driver and download and install a fresh copy.

Let us know if you need help

The video driver is as fresh as possible. When I was running only Linux on this laptop, the proprietary ATi driver always killed my system coming out of hibernation so I eventually just started using the open source one since it's not like I'm rendering 1337 h4x0r engineering images with my laptop.

After freshly installing Windows 7 and using the OEM driver for ATi, it BSoDed after sleeping for the first time and I thought "Heck no, I am _not_ dealing with this on 'It just works' Windows too" so I looked around for a solution and found that updating to the non-OEM provided driver solved the issue and it seemed to do the trick.

Later on, I started having netio.sys problems after coming out of hibernation or sleeping, possibly related to the VPN I'm using so I disabled it but was unable to narrow down if it was the cause or not.

It shows no signs of power state failure (sleep/wake) but does indicate video driver. You may have the most recent but it may have become damaged.

You could just wait for the next one. I suspect you may have more in your future.

You can run a system file check if you think netio.sys is a problem
to do that type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

    A Wicked Omen

You were correct; my system crashed after resuming from sleep and upon logging in. New crash dump attached. Sigh... maybe I should just go back to Windows XP or Vista on this machine.
