no 197.75 is good for the 8 series as well. I installed it on my PC today in fact to see if it would cheer up a F@H GPU client issue, and the screen image aligned itself rather nicely. In the event that it was installed to someone's pc on the network via my "terminal", ixnay what I said. It's an imaginary scenario that I have no knowledge of, but I can see how it might spruce up my screen display, although I would also think it'd tear the card to shreds after a while.
So, I think that the 197.75 driver works for the 8 series too. Or there is an unhappy 400 series card out on the network somewhere, and a remote connection to my pc that I'm unaware of...
but like I said, those are imaginary scenarios. I think 0.0.
I'm not doubting you, I'm only stating what it says on the NVidia website. It might well work with the 8 series, although it only officially supports the new 400 series of cards. That is not to say that a subsequent driver release might support both series.
Those are various TCP settings. E.g. autotuning optimizes window size for each network connection and theoretically improves network throughput. Task offloading happens when the TCP protocol hands over certain tasks being carried out by the processor to the network card, which improves performance. Receive side scaling (RSS) allows network load to be spread across multiple CPUs.
However, the implementation doesnt always go the intended way and internet problems can often be resolved by disabling these settings.
thanks i will try
but is there a way to backup before giving the commands ?
I have had my PC for 3 years now and it has a legit copy of Win 7 Home Premium 64bit on it. I do not have any other pcs and no one else uses mine because I live alone. I was on Wikipedia and went to go to Youtube when I got a message from the web stating that I may be the victim of software...

I was using my computer when McAfee Anti-Virus upgraded itself automatically. Unfortunately, it malfunctioned and caused Internet Explorer to crash. When IE continued to crash now and then, I suspected that McAfee was causing it, so I reinstalled McAfee and IE is working fine now. However, I got...
