BSOD Help

No, I'm not overclocking though I will go check my BIOS settings just in case. I've overclocked once, didn't like it and I reverted back to the default, recommended settings. It seems I have a new problem now, I found a tool on the MSI website that's supposed to find the most up-to-date drivers and help me flash the BIOS but I can't do anything without a floppy drive and for some reason it won't let me use windows mode. What can I do?

Edit: I have confirmed that I'm definitely not overclocking.

Okay guys, I have no idea how to flash/update my BIOS. I've been exploring several options for hours without any luck and it's probably because I just don't know what I'm doing.

MSI Global – Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

That is the motherboard I have and I'm guessing the latest BIOS update on there is what I need (Version 1.9 or 1.A) since according to my system information I currently have version 1.11.

Please help, I'll check this thread first thing in the morning as this whole ordeal has been quite a headache.

Also, I was wondering if someone could explain why I would suddenly need to update the BIOS? I mean, from what I've gathered, it's actually recommended that you don't do it unless you're experiencing problems. So a computer can run for years without ever needing a BIOS update, what causes it to suddenly need one? I'm really a novice when it comes to this stuff and every major problem I've ever had was easily resolved by a clean wipe/reformat.
