Computer still BSODing! Minidumps attached

Hello,

I previously started a thread a while ago where i was suggested to update my graphics drivers however this did not help.

So here it goes:

In December i built a computer with the following specs:
OS: Windows 7
Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate Edition 512MB GDDR3 HDMI DVI VGA PCI-E Graphics

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz Socket 775 1066MHz FSB 3MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

Sony AD-7240S 24x DVD±RW DL & RAM Internal SATA Black Bare Drive – OEM

Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-US2H G41 HDMI DVI VGA High Def Audio Out MATX Motherboard

Crucial 4GB (2X2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Ballistix Memory CL4 2.0V

OCZ Stealth Xtream 500W PSU - 1x PCI-E 6/8pin, 2x SATA 12cm FanScythe Ninja II Rev. B

About a month ago, my computer started to blue screen constantly so i spoke to a friend who advised me it sounded like a graphics card problem. He advised me to run a memtest anyhow just to check. I ran the memtest and the ram passed fine.

The problem kept occurring so he informed me to use the Mobo’s build in graphics card. I took the PCI card out, and the computer ran fine for a few days until the problem started again.

The problem then started to develop from the bluescreens to locking up/restarting problems programs like firefox and MSN messenger. This week, my computers explorer.exe keeps locking up and the only option is to restart the computer.

I updated the graphics card but this did not help, I then removed the graphics card drivers (using DH remover I think its called) and let windows automatically detect its own ones however this did not solve the problem.

I ran BurnInTest which said that the problem is a 2d graphs problem.

I’ve tried a few things but am pretty stuck now and its really annoying me so any help would be grateful please!

Hi,

Re-install your PCI gfx card and then update your graphics drivers from here (there have probably been newer releases since you last did it - ATI were having some issues at the start of this year with their drivers): Graphics Drivers & Software

If it continues to BSOD then upload more dump files, but given that it is still doing it I do not believe it is a problem with your graphics card.

Just so you know.. I looked at your other thread and the SFC was successful

I've tried re-installing the PCI gfx card twice and its the same drivers as you have supplied from the same link.
The problem is occuring whilst using the MOBO graphics card which is why i'm confused as if it were just a driver problem for my PCI gfx card then surely it wouldn't keeping BSODing me with it not in?

Exactly. When you use a PCI card it generally disables the On-board and as some of your errors are Graphics related going back to the card which has been proven not to be part of the problem might help. The driver suggestion is simply because it is good practice to always get the most up to date drivers when you install anything.
