Windows 7 fails to load when Projector is attached

    Hello

Strangest thing, when I have my Acer H5360 Beamer connected with hdmi to the graficcard I get bluescreen everytime right before the desktop loads up. And when I detatch it and only startup with my LCD monitor everything works again.

I Recently upgraded to GTX470 from 8800GT card but this problem occured a few weeks in already using my projector connected to the new grafic. I did however notice a minor problem during use, when I played around in the settings and switched between resolutions. The recomended HDReady resolution and testing a fullHD resolution suddenly windows stopped recognizing the projector as Acer H5360 and just displaying it as " Digital Display " after that everything started going downhill and now I cant even restart the computer with the Beamer connected to the back.

Nvidia drivers are 197.41 But I have tried several others including Beta ones with same result. I also used Drive Cleaner and reinstalled windows7 twice. No solution.

    Any help please

Could you please upload your dmp files that were created during the BSOD?

The dmps point to your video card driver, but if you've messed around with different drivers, I wonder if your card itself is failing.

Definitely, if you can, exchange or return it.

Did this get resolved? I am having a similar issue, but instead of a bsod I get no sync with the projector connected at power up. I use a push button switch to go between my monitor and the projector, and with the monitor connected the pc will boot and once running I can switch to the projector but it no longer recognizes it properly - generic digital display is all I get.

Some other reports I found indicate it may be an edid issue with the projector, and I was wondering if your issue was resolved with a new card?

    -------------- Success ! ----------------

My issue turned out to be corrupt edid info. Solved with powerstrip and info from this other thread on another forum:
