    Win7 auto-restart at random intervals

Hi, I bought my computer 5 month ago and it's a Windows 7 (Gateway, 8g RAM) . It worked fine with no problems until today: it keeps auto restarting at random intervals. First I thought it was a virus so I scanned my computer and there was no result. Then I decided to format entirely the system but the problem is still there. I cleaned off the dust inside the machine but it didn’t work.

I calculated if there was a fixed amount of time before it restart and I found that It will automatically restart at about 5 hours about the first boot, then it will restart at random intervals: after five minutes, ten etc... Sometimes, it even restarts at the booting screen (where you can see the computer logo and the [Press F12 to enter setup] message).
I also disabled the automatic restart at system failure but there’s to BSOD that appears. Also when it auto restart, there’s no beep sound.... All I can hear is a small “click” sound from the machine. I usually hear the “click” sound when the system is completely shut.
This problem is getting very annoying because I must save my work every minute so I don’t lose it when it auto restart...
    Anyone have a fix?

Have you looked in event viewer (type eventvwr in search) to see what it says? go to the windows logs>application tab. Look for critical errors relating to the problem. When you find them not the event ID and source code and relay them to us.
