just got my laptop and getting unexpected shutdown...

since i got my laptop i get this unexpected shutdown everytime it idles...hope some of you gurus can help out and give a solution...

okay i figured out how to upload the dump file on the desktop but it keeps going to notepad when i open it and all i get is gibberish...

Yup... You have got it rite this time !!
I guess it has something to do with your Display card / Direct X Drivers. Also there is a System service execption have has happened EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 while usually caused by Third party Firewall or Antivirus.
I would recommend you to uninstall Firewall or Antivirus completely and use the Removal Tool to clear then left over file. Also remove your Display drivers completely and download a fresh copy and install it.
Download MemTest86+ and run a Memory Diagnostic atleast 6 passes to make sure the Memory is doing good. Follow this Link for Tutorial Guide to using Memtest86+

Also sometimes I'll get a blue screen that appears for about ten seconds before it turns off. there is a number that counts up to 100, and says Dumping Physical Memory....
