    BSOD help

my computer I built has been crashing since the begining and I have be working on reinstalling drivers and trying to identify particular hardware issues. I have reinstalled windows 7 and still the same problem.

Can anyone help me with this crash dump?

I've memtest 8 times and passed.

I've just uninstalled my ATI drivers and reinstalled them.

    waiting for the next crash

just curious if there is anything more I can do.

    thanks.

*also, does anyone think Steam installation could be a problem.

we need the actual DMP file created when the computer crashed. use these to find and ulpoad it. https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...d-problem.html
    thanks

EDIT: from the text file it was caused by memory corruption. to check your ram download memtestx86, burn it to cd, and run for at least 5 passes.

Did you run each mem stick by themself? did you test each mobo ram slot by itself?

I ran the memtestx86 over night and it ran and passed 8 times. Ithink it ran on all occupied slots together. Do I need to manualy remove and leave one stick in in order to test one at a time or can I configure single slots at a time?

I would have sent the actual dump but it was 200+ mb and I tryed ziping it it only got to 53mb. Is there a way to save as a text file? I will check the how to post for direction.

Upload the zip folder to Rapidshare and post a link.

When you said you ran Memtest 8 times, did you run it for 8 passes all at once, or did you run it 8 separate times? Be sure you ran it for 8 passes.

Update this old driver: CLBStor.sys Mon Oct 13 23:34:50 2008

Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
    Prime95 Setup:
    - extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
    - double click on the executable file
    - select "Just stress testing"
    - select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
    - "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.
Open an elevated command prompt and enter sfc /scannow.

I uninstalled the CLBStor.sys driver along with the whole cyberlink suite. I ran the stress test for 10 hours: and everything passed as far as I could tell. I've run the memtest 8 passes. I ran the sfc /scannow and it passed. last night after everthing ran I restarted, it worked, then shut it down and turned it on today to check it out and I get BSOD. attached is the mini dump.

    please help!

    Bugcheck code 0x7E SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
exception code = 0xC0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation occurred

Might be worth running diagnostic on your HDD as well
