You can use the vista drivers, but be sure to install them in Vista compatibility mode...

You know what? That's what I thought but of course, my PC's messed up and the least thing I want to do is make it worse. THANKS!

I'll try out all your suggestions. Today, ill start with the physical connection, then drivers. Since recreating the user profile was mentioned, ill give it a spin.

I REALLY APPRECIATE your help guys. *excuse for the caps*

I'll post the results soon. Good morning

So here's what I did before I went to bed this morning.

1. Full system scan with ESET Nod32 (deleted a few keygens) and 2 passes of Memtest86 and absolutely no errors.

2. Updated drivers. (Chipset, Realtek, ATI and firmware for Samsung DVD drive)

Tried a installer DVD which have been causing most of my erratic BSOD's but still NO GOOD.

3. Run SFC /scannow rebooted to apply fix.

Tried same DVD and still no GOOD.

4. I noticed that RAM usage during first few minutes of startup can get up to 99% so I created another profile, just in case user profile is corrupt but same BSOD.

5. Went on to physical connection. Unplug/replug a few cables. Replaced SATA for my Samsung DVD. Tried to install using my original account and VOILA! It's reading the DVD, didn't get held back by that spinning green circle.

I can't say it's completely fixed but I've never come this far. So far so good, just inserted disc 2 and dvd reads perfectly.

Will monitor but nevertheless, THANKS A LOT Will update thread if problem reoccurs.
