    BSODs, Freezes, Wrong POST Beep

The computer sometimes freezes when I have it running and the display turned off when I go to school. When I turn on the screen I'll see that everything is frozen and the time is of course frozen. When I leave it on and go to school at 8 AM it can freeze 8.30 AM. It's random.

Not only that I experience many different BSODs. Especially when I play games. Recently alot of BSODs when I try to play Battlefield Bad Company 2. Sometimes the BSODs will appear without any warning. But I will sometimes notice before a BSODs there is some sort of lag in the game. It looks like server lag. The game can after that crash to the desktop without any warning. Other programs like Windows Live Messenger will can crash too. When I try to start them they will soon crash again and after a few tries a BSOD appears.

Sometimes BSODs can appear after eachother. For example I get one BSOD and reboot. I can get another BSOD during boot or after windows has booted.

    Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE
    Motherboard: ASUS M4N82 Deluxe
    RAM: Corsair TWIN 2X 4096-8500C5D
    CPU cooler: Zalman 9700
Video Card: 2x SLI nVidia Geforce 250 GTS
    Power Supply: Corsair TX 650W
    Hard drive(s): 2x 500GB WD Caviar 7200 RPM
    Operating System: Windows 7 64bit
    Case: Cooler Master Mystique 631

    Minidump for a BSOD I just got(I don't get the same BSOD everytime! Sometimes it's NON_PAGE, NOT_LESS_EQUAL):

Please zip up and upload ALL minidumps with your next post.
We need all of them to establish a pattern (since they aren't all the same).

    Ok,
I uploaded all the files in the minidump folder. I had the same BSOD with these minidumps. The very old ones where I got
    IRQL not less or equal
    Non page faulty

    and so on are gone.

The thing that strikes me about those dumps is your outdated AsIo.sys driver.

Please go here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Download the latest Asus PCProbe utility for your motherboard/computer model.

The other thing I notice is the high-risk SPTD.sys file. Used by CD or ISO visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%, it is notorious for causing crashes.

Please uninstall any programs like that you might have, then run this SPTD uninstaller: DuplexSecure - Downloads

    Ok,
I installed probe and will uninstall daemon tools. There must be a hardware issue?

Possibly, we'll see. It might be bad RAM, CPU or mobo, we'll find out soon enough.

I RMA'd my mobo and they returned it. They also said there was just 1 beep during POST.
I'm using old RAM modules right now and still experience the same problems.

I've uninstalled daemon tools and SPTD now. After the reboot my screen was kind of dark even on max brightness. I had to open Display in control panel and click calibrate color and then next, cancel for it to return to how it should be. This is not the first time it happened.

I have not yet gotten a BSOD but I haven't played BFBC2 much and that's where it happens. My internet connection dies often for a few seconds though. Today when I booted the PC I got 1 beep and then a continous beep. Nothing displayed on the monitor so I think the system couldn't detect the graphics card. I had to hard reset the PC.

Yesterday the PC froze after POST during the motherboard logo splash screen.
Only way to bypass this was to reset CMOS but it booted into windows once. After a CMOS reset and the next reboot will freeze the PC. I just resetted the CMOS just to write this and I'm not sure if it will freeze during my next reboot. I did however get a new minidump.

The date is wrong on the minidump because I resetted the CMOS.

EDIT: Just got another BSOD while playing BFBC2. Using my new RAM today. haven't gotten any BSODS using my old RAM but my internet kept dying randomly and the POST beep was still wrong!

    New minidump uploaded.

The thing that strikes me about those dumps is your outdated AsIo.sys driver.

Please go here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Download the latest Asus PCProbe utility for your motherboard/computer model.
have you updated it as Jonathan suggest, if not, please do so

    Update this driver as well:
    Code:
UsbFltr UsbFltr.sys Wed Apr 11 15:23:46 2007 (461C9B12) Ortek USB Keypad Driver by Waytech Development
Memory corruption was blamed, please download third party called memtestx86, burn it to CD using ISO Recorder v3 , and let it run for at least 6,7 passes.
